“My Journey to Confidence: How Fashion and Style Empowered Me to Embrace Change”
At first glance, EDIT ACCORDINGLY may look like a fashion site—a place to catch up on current trends, scroll through handbag inspo, or find daily outfit ideas. And yes, it is that. But it’s also something more.
It’s a space for stories—real stories. The ones that aren’t always picture-perfect or worthy of a grid post. My intention is to share mine with vulnerability and transparency, in the hopes that maybe, somewhere along the way, you see yourself in these moments too.
CHAPTER TWO
This phrase usually marks a new beginning: a fresh chapter, a reset. Maybe you’ve just sent your kids off to college and find yourself wondering, what now? Maybe you’re stepping out of a marriage, a job, or a role you’ve outgrown. Or maybe, like me, you’ve stepped away from a decades-long career only to discover that retirement isn’t an end… but a beginning.
A “re-wirement”.
For nearly 30 years, I built a career filled with accolades, long nights, and constant questioning. People around me praised my leadership, my success, my drive. But inside? I often felt like I was failing. That I wasn’t actually good enough. That I was just playing the part.
Sound familiar?
We don’t need to dwell there—we’ve all lived in that mindset. But I believe that voice—the one whispering “you’re not exceptional”—is one of the most common things women hear. And it’s one we need to EDIT out.
Throughout my journey, I kept asking: What is my purpose? I had built brands. Run businesses. Created success. But none of it felt like it was truly mine.
So I sought out to create some that felt authentic, something that felt ‘me’. EDIT ACCORDINGLY—not just about styling closets & wardrobes, but to help style lives. To reimagine not just what you wear, but how you see yourself.
Because here’s what I know now: ✨ Style is a form of self-respect.
✨ Fashion can help reignite your confidence.
✨ And when you look in the mirror and love what you see—it changes everything.
This blog will be a place for fashion, yes. But it will also be a place for purpose. For reinvention.
For women like us—navigating our second, third, or even fourth chapter, our next act.
It’s for the woman who wants to reclaim her narrative and show up for herself again.
So… what’s your Chapter Two?
Let’s EDIT ACCORDINGLY. Together.
